Distance learning

Mariana was born in Venezuela in. Her father and her sister signed a summer camp in the US. During the video she talks about how she felt like an outsider. At first she felt that she was not welcomed, "another one". Mariana’s  viewpoint is different. It's as if she were an alien from another  world. She felt that she belongs to a different world and hopes to be accepted. When it comes to differences, it is difficult to see who a person is. Or, unless you treat others differently, you seem to be abandoned. Bullying, indifference, topics such as how we define our behavior with us are many of the topics we can cover. Mariana described many personal life problems in her wonderful speech.
I think there are many people in the world yet each person has their unique beilifes, characteristics and values in which shape them into whom they are today. You are you the way your parents raised you and what society told you to be (which is a sad thing). But have you ever asked yourself what makes you different? I haven’t, and after watching the video I asked myself. To be honest, it took me an hour to think and understand.
Sometimes it’s difficult to accept yourself. You think that you don’t fit in. So you lock yourself down, you don’t communicate and share the things and emotions you feel. Which leads you to not knowing your own self.  But after fighting and being kind to yourself you’ll understand that’s what makes you special. Your personality, your communication skills, your body, your smile, your scars and the color of your eyes. Everyone is different. And we need to understand and give other people to express theirselves.
